Beauty Mark

All beauty, discovered or created,

Points to You, Lord:

The refuge of faithful, sacrificial love, relished;

The mirth of unbridled, innocent laughter, shared;

The restful contentment of home, treasured;

The persevering hope of longsuffering, endured;

The generous heart of tender care, freely offered;

The eternal union with perfection, fulfilled;

The deep trust through passing seasons, built;

The soothing word to anxious minds, given:

The heart of upright character resolutely sought.

All seeking beauty is sacred work,

Only consummated, fully, in You, Lord.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23
