Penned by Grace

All is love of untold measure.

All are gifts of lavish cost.

All is life, lived in His stead.

All is grace through His great loss.

Such is not a ruling tyrant.

Such does not keep track of wrong.

Such has given all as ransom.

Such has penned in me, a song.

Now His righteous life is mine.

Now He’s paid my debtor’s fee.

Now His birthright is my future.

Now His love enraptures me.

Who makes commands feel like freedom?

Who causes conviction to sooth like balm?

Who grips me close with loving-kindness?

‘Tis Grace Who pens my driven psalm.
