Preaching the Gospel to Myself

Again this day, this hour, this minute, I need You. Jesus, You are my Good News.

Let my fear of failure remind me of the finished work You have done on my behalf.

Let my insecurities remind me of the royal birthright You have secured for me.

Let my haunting regrets remind me of the wisdom of Your loving guidance.

Let the weakness of my flesh remind me of the abiding power of Your Spirit.

Let my flailing emotions remind me of your faithful, unfailing love.

Let my relational failures remind me to live out Your sacrificial love.

May You and Your will become my heart’s desire.

May I work to keep You on the throne of my life.

May I give You all of who I am for Your Kingdom work.

May gratitude to You remain in my heart and on my lips.

May love for You fill and overflow my heart.

And may Your joy become the refrain of my life.
