Beauty Divergence

If beauty is but a mirage,

It is the cruelest of hoaxes:

A reminder of our deep thirst.

A fiendish hallucination,

Enticing the soul to consummation,

Only to be left abandoned-

Violated.

But, if beauty is a sign;

It is the train of a robe,

It is an invitation to thirst for more:

A rescuing guidepost,

Inviting the soul to consummation,

With our heart’s True Love -

Beauty Himself.

Then beauty is a crossroad;

An offering to choose;

The freedom to move as we will:

To harken to the cry of our anger

Steeped in unrequited love;

Or to embrace beauty as a bid

To be with God in it, forever.
