Purveyor of Light

As the snowflake fell,

The Light danced through it.

Nothing was created.

The Light was always there,

Always the same,

Always enchanting,

Never fully exposed.

The beauty of the Light

Became evident through the snowflake

As its crystals refracted the waves

Differently from any other,

Before or since.

It didn’t last long.

It had but a moment to shine,

To represent the Light to the world,

In a unique and sacred fashion.

But the world caught a glimpse

Of the endless beauty of the Light

Through one willing purveyor.
